JUST IN: Biden restores protections for three national monuments, reversing a Trump decision

President Biden on Friday became the first sitting U.S. president to issue a presidential proclamation marking Indigenous Peoples’ Day. Biden’s move comes as one of the most recent efforts to boost the federal holiday and celebrate the contributions of Native people, according to The Associated Press.

Biden also restored the borders of three national monuments that were shrunk under the Trump administration – Bears Ears, Grand Staircase-Escalante and Northeast Canyons and Seamounts National Monuments.

  1. Oh look, it's the guy who got all those little kids and American 🇺🇸 citizens killed in Afghanistan 🇦🇫

The same guy who donated $80 billion worth of military equipment to a terrorist organization. COME ON MAN

  2. Biden doesn't know the meaning of " sovereignty "
Just playing one group of people off against another group. Distracting from his own policy disasters.

  3. It's not a partisan issue but I'll use this opportunity to take swipes at my predecessor. The environment is safe in Joe's hand plus he's get expertise on energy in the family. Nasty cough though.

  5. Good. I am happy that we are going to celebrate indigenous people's day. My people were here first and do deserve celebration. Columbus did not discover anything. The Americas were already discovered by my indigenous people.

  6. This is a total lie !!! Once again native lands are stolen by the government and turned into national parks so money can be made at the expense of the tribes. Disgraceful. Trump restored their stolen lands and Biden stole it again. No surprise.

  7. When this Cougher-In-Chief gets done with his "zero emissions" project let him get his friends in China, Russia, and especially India to sign off on it, I'll join him.

  8. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS INDIGENOUS PEOPLE TO THE AMERICAS.
As a matter of FACT….. people from South East Asia were in the Americas 1500 years BEFORE Mongoloids (Indians) crossed the Bering Straight.

  9. No members of the Utah Congressional Delegation in attendance. No Governor Cox, no member of the Utah Legislature or County Commissioners. I think by the absence of the elected representatives of the people of Utah speaks volumes. Utah is once again a play thing for out of state democrats to use as a political talking point for their out of state base.
